O projeto do artista plástico Tibi Meirelles, Viagens de Identidade, é um ensaio sobre a fragmentação do olhar e suas infinitas possibilidades estéticas e plásticas.
O corpo de fragmenta e se recompõe em novas combinações orgânicas onde as partes do todo, isolados e multiplicados formam novos seres harmônicos e organismos vivos.
O conceito foi sendo desenvolvido de acordo com suas experiências na pintura e na escultura. Trabalhando com tintas e pincéis, Tibi exercitou continuamente seus gestuais soturnos e sombrios, buscando a exclusão da cor para chegar a forma. A escultura em ferro foi o veículo que suportou essa transição. Seus gestuais ganharam forma definida, tridimensionalidade e leveza.
Com recursos digitais, o realismo do corpo ganha cor, fica orgânico e a busca da identidade transcende a realidade e se fragmenta em novas configurações.

INNER SELF TRIPS

The work of artist Tibi Meirelles, Inner Self Trips, is a study about eyesight fragmentation and its infinite esthetic and artistic possibilities.
The body fragments and recombines themselves into new organic combinations where as the parts of the whole are isolated and multiplied in order to form new harmonic beings and live organisms.
This concept has been being developed according to his experiences in painting and sculpture. Having been working with brushes and paints, Tibi has continuously exerted his somber and solemn gestures to achieve colour exclusion to arrive to the final form. Iron sculpture was the vehicle that best supported this transition. His gestures acquired well-defined form, 3D and lightness.
By using digital resources, body realism gains colour, becomes organic and the search for an identity transcends reality and breaks apart into new configurations.
